I have been living 100% gluten free for over two years and vegetarian for at least a decade. In August 2013, I discovered that I’m also intolerant to almonds, eggs and large legumes – the three things in the world that I rely most heavily upon!
To heal my gut, my naturopath has recommended that, in addition to my current restrictions, I eliminate eggs, almonds, walnuts, and kidney beans and limit my intake of bananas, grapefruit, strawberries and small beans.
Thus the next phase in my culinary journey begins with the need to adapt favourite recipes and create new delicious foods of my own.
